Hi Alex,
Any time a tube breaks inside the magnet it's generally wise to drop the probe.
I always do that before mounting a rescue.
-can't know for certain full sample condition just by observing from above
the bore opening
-tube breaks below the spinner will leave glass pieces behind in/on the probe/shim
stack even after spinner is retrieved
-removing glass shards and cleaning spilled sample contents from probe can't/shouldn't
be done inside the magnet
-"fishing" out the sample sometimes goes awry, if it falls back down freely
it can impact and risk further damage
-possible to push sample out from below if probe is removed
A second pair of hands goes a long way as well. Best of luck!
