Ultra 5 system locking up - additional info

Dear Colleagues:
        Apparently, the attempt to network boot after POST diagnostics must be
a default -> my other Ultra5 Sparc (which works fine) does it as well!
        Anyway, any suggestions about this (i.e., personal experience, how to
set system logging higher to catch errors, etc.) will be appreciated.
Browsing around on the web, one person mentioned replacing both memory
and CPU -> something I really don't want to do.
