Hi Greg,

Sorry it took a few days to get back.  It's weird because I subscribe
to the daily digest, and somehow didn't see a bunch of these responses.
And some folks just e-mailed me directly, so I got lots of ideas of what to
check, that I haven't covered before.

Just checked the gas compressor yesterday - took the heavy top off, just to
find a complicated assembly in there of a couple compressors and a bunch of
what looked like adsorbers and lines/pipes running all over the place.
So, while compressing the bag, I wanded in as many connections and places as
I could fit the wand into, but didn't find any leaks.  Someone suggested
to check the head gaskets and piston rings in there, but didn't really see any.
This test was disappointing, since I was kind of hoping this would be the
culprit and a couple AMMRLers asked if I'd had this unit serviced, which we
most definitely have not.

Did check the valves of the compressed gas tanks, of which we have 4 total.
These are medium pressure storage cylinders.

By 'a lot of pressure when I do fills' I mean that there's a lot more volume
coming through the pipes and into the bag in the basement.  When I do the
fills, I open up the large flow meter and during the course of the fill this
usually reads about 3.0 or 3.5 SCFM, while during normal boil-off, if I'd open
up this pathway it would read 0 SCFM.  And the normal steady state boil-off
reads typically between 7 and 15 (and doh, I don't recall the units here).

Sounds like perhaps I'd need a dual gas analyzer (?) to test the purifier?
I've disconnected the cylinder supply to the purifier for a couple of days, to see
if this will isolate upstream or downstream from the purifier.  And I've waded
the production dewar/cold head assembly numerous times.  please let me know if
you have other ideas on testing the purifier.

Thanks,
Monika
