Hi Monika,
We also have a CryoMech system similar to yours (and yes, we had a lot of
hiccups along the way too :)).
If I understood your summary, it seems that your bag does not inflate from
normal boiloff, but it does during a helium transfer? If so, I'm
wondering if you have a small leak in the bag somewhere that leaks out at
a rate similar to your boil-off? This would maybe explain why it
inflates during a large inrush of helium gas during transfers. The
other thought I have is whether you've checked for leaks at any of the
Aeroquip connectors that CryoMech uses for connecting all their equipment?
Because of all the equipment issues, we've had to swap them a lot, and I've
noticed that some have started to wear a little bit. If you have a
bad o-ring somewhere, you may be losing helium there?
I'm also curious how often your purifier runs continuously? If you
have a significant leak, does your purifer regenerate very often?
Best,
