We are currently in the final process of selecting a vendor
(Bruker Avance vs Varian Inova) for some replacement high
resolution NMR equipment. We are interested in two areas:

1. Instrumentation to be run mainly under automation on an
"open access" basis for both 1D and simple 2D experiments.
2. Higher field instrumentation to be used for more
specialised work on both small organic molecules and
macromolecules.

If you have any relevant comments, experiences or deeply
rooted feelings we'd appreciate you taking time to make them
known to us.

Owing to the (possibly) sensitive nature of any replies, we
will NOT circulate or retransmit any of them. Richard
Shoemaker's resume of comments on the Gemini-2000 from a few
months ago have been duly noted.

Comments on vendors UK operations (service and technical
support) would also be welcome.
