We used small oil free compressors at Leeds (my previous job) from a company
called absolute air and gas in the UK.
Now I doubt these are available in the United States but our experiences may
help you. Specifically, while these were more expensive to buy in the first
place the _lifetime_ costs were much lower because the alternative (scroll
compressors) while being cheaper to buy had short and expensive service
intervals…

We are using IR (Ingersoll Rand) air compressors, and we have been pleased
with their services.

Dear All,
We are currently seeking a reliable air compressor suitable for Bruker new
NMR instruments of 600MHz and 800MHz specifications at UPenn. If any of you
have recommendations for trustworthy vendors in the East Coast area, USA
(Ideally), it would be greatly appreciated. Furthermore, any firsthand
experiences or insights about air compressors that you might be willing to share
would be invaluable to our search.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Vas
