We have MAS2 with AVII and the probe is PH MASVTN for 400MHz 15N-31P/1H
I tried spinning a standard sample,

It can be informative to connect an oscilloscope to the monitoring output of the
spin controller if it has one-you can see what the spin detection signal looks
like and if that might be the source of the problem.

And I'm not sure if this is applicable in your situation but some of the smaller
MAS probes I've worked on have a cap that screws into the front of the stator. I
forget if the 2.5mm probes I've worked on have that or not. Regardless, if your
probe does have such a cap, I've found in a few cases that tightening that cap
too much will stop the rotor from spinning-if you loosen that just a hair sometimes
the rotor will spin.

If you can give a bit more information about your hardware-manufacturer, what type
of spin controller, and any more details about your probe, that will help us give
more useful suggestions. There are many possible causes for a non-spinning sample,
ranging from a bad spin detection module, to the sample not actually making it into
the probe, to the user simply having forgotten to flip the stator to the magic angle,
to the MAS controller being configured for a different probe.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi spins,

Can you recommend any troubleshooting tips for spin problems ( not spinning
with good marking present at the bottom) for a 2.5 mm ssnmr probe?

Thank you,
