Is the MAS/2 correctly configured—2.5mm probe selected? And is the
2.5mm probe correctly configured? If it’s a flip-type, does the MAS
controller have that box checked? If you disconnect the bearing and drive
air lines from the probe and manually open the valves in the MAS/2 (use the
manual spin control settings on the touchscreen) does the air turn on and
ramp up and down as expected? Your website says you’ve got a couple
of 4mm probes—do they spin okay? When you try to start the sample
spinning, can you hear it spinning—do you hear the whine ramping up,
or do you not hear anything?
