Hello - this is likely a long shot but I am curious if anyone knows if its
possible to run TopShim 2.4.0 within TS4.1.4? We have two Neo systems
here running TS4.1.4 (Windows) which comes bundled with TopShim 2.2.0.
I have heard that the most recent version of TopShim (2.4.0) is more robust
than 2.2.0. I have also heard cautionary tales about doing a complete
migration to TS4.3 from 4.1. So what about using the latest version of
TopShim within a slightly older version of TopSpin?
Earlier today, after doing a backup, I took a gamble and dumped the
<TSHOME>/prog/mod/topshim.exe executable from a TS4.3 datastation onto our
spectrometer. I then tried to shim our TCI Prodigy using "topshim initial"
but eventually got an error message involving RECSEL.
if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions about what Im trying to accomplish
here, please let me know.
