Hi David, I'm pretty sure you need the 80 MHz clock in good order for this
inst. to be ready to do anything..... John \\\

Hi David,

have you checked the voltages at the bottom right of the console? All well
a bit above the printed value (more 3.40 than 3.30 V etc.)?
Did you try executing "setacq" from a Linux terminal?

Best regards
Bert

Hello all,

I'm having an issue with our VNMRS 500 that happened (as per tradition) over
the weekend while I was away. We had a power outage, and while the console
is on UPS and didn't go down, the computer wasn't on backup and shutdown in
the middle of acquisition of a solids Onepul experiment. When I re-booted
the computer, VNMRJ says inactive and won't communicate with the console.
I can ping all of the individual controllers and see data being received
but I cannot get it to go to 'idle'. I'm running VNMRJ 4.2 and so far I've
tried the usual 'su acqproc' to start and stop comms, resetting the master
controller, and power cycling the entire console and computer with no luck.

Any advice would be much very appreciated.

Best,
David O.
