Hi all,
I'd appreciate hearing from any of you that are using NORLOC caps with a
SampleJet sample changer. We have a 400 that over the first 9 months
worked fine using IconNMR + SampleJet + 4" and 7" 5mm tubes with NORLOC
caps (5mm closed red caps). We average ~ 125 samples per day running
through that spectrometer. Starting at about 9 months, and increasingly
now at 18 months we are experiencing regular problems picking up
samples. I believe the NORLOC caps are good for > 20 uses, but we now
throw them out at about 10 uses. At that replacement interval, they
never show any signs of wear. But when querying about the problems we
are having, Bruker is demanding that we switch to Bruker caps -- and
they say clearly that their caps should be used just once. I am
reluctant to make this change. Hearing the experiences of others would
be really useful.
