Kirk -

I don't know what Bruker is doing to the FIDs, but the Varian FIDs
are different in that quadrature is not used. The VNMRJ provided
on Direct Drive instruments ONLY will process data obtained on
that instrument using the new detection scheme. As I know it the
processing software will NOT be able to process older data sets,
unless Varian has included the older processing software with
a different set of processing commands (or buttons) which will
provide for that. I would advise you NOT to trash your old Sun
computers just yet!
