AMMRL: Monitoring moisture in air supply

Hello again,

I've once again been tasked with gathering information, and promise to summarize any responses I get.

Not long ago, we had some serious air quality issues. One of our driers had gone down and we didn't notice for some time. We were fortunate to escape any truly major damage, although we did need to replace the valve on one of our TMC legs.

The question I have is, what are facility managers (or their institutions) doing to monitor the quality of and/or moisture in your compressed air supply? Also, I'd appreciate a note if you're using any sort of drier better than a –20 degree refrigerated type between the compressor and you instruments – I expect the most common will be the tower desiccant type.
