Dear All,

We may have funding for a visiting scholar (conditional on transferability constraints, granting has been given otherwise) to come to Turku, Finland for one year, so if anyone may know of someone suitable, could they please pass this information along.

The person should be doing a PhD or about to start a PhD (can be made part of the PhD or be independent of it) and preferably needs to be from Germany since the grant is from a bilateral mobility scheme between Germany and Finland (this may be relaxed depending on what transpires). The work involves NMR, and possibly chromatography, of chiral analytes and will incorporate use of CDAs, CSAs, modelling, etc. Would probably suit an organic chemist best though this is not an absolute and the work can be adjusted to suit the person, e.g. made more structural chemistry or tending towards more NMR with pulse sequence modification and parameterisation etc. Experience in NMR is desirable but not mandatory though a strong interest in is.

Interested persons can send their CVs in the initial instance and/or direct any enquiries to Dr. Karel D. Klika, klikakd_at_yahoo.co.uk.

Many thanks,
KDK
