With the impending arrival of our AVANCE400 and concurrent
departure of our beloved AC200 it is time to clean house.
Among the surprises in the backs of the shelves:
Item I
Box of MSL board extenders and break out boxes
(That instrument left in 1999 and was about 1985
vintage.)
Item II
CDC RSD Hard Drive for AC200. ?Late 80s
Hard disk with removable hard disk! Worked when last
used. Weighs about ~80 pounds. I kept it as backup
for the Hitachi...as I recall the braided cable needs to
be flipped to get this to work on ACs. Not sure how
I would best ship this.
Genuinely FREE:
You supply the postage and either of these can be yours
if you are the first to ask.
Putting some of this equipment in the recycling, or
worse, is like putting a friend down....but who
wants to/can afford the time and money to futz with
20 year old nmr technology? At least I have kept
one of the early Doty solids probes in the museum on my
window sill. Somebody should write about the grief of
having get rid of old loved equipment.
