TO LINUX GURU'S IN AMMARL:
We need to image the HD on a working LINUX RedHat 7.3/ XWINNMR 3.5pl6 HP workstation running our av600cp nmr. The imaged HD will be used to redo a crashed HD on an identical HP workstn running our AV400 nmr. Both have identical 80G Maxtor HD's.
The question is what imaging software worked for you?
We have Norton Ghost 2003 and Drive Image 2002 that came with both these spectrometers when installed two years ago. The latest versions of Brukers LINUX and TOPSPIN INSTALL Manuals suggest GHOST for imaging. ??? There is enough uncertainty about corrupting the 600's HD to warrent this question.
