The Gruss Magnetic Resonance Research Center (Albert Einstein College of
Medicine, Bronx, NY) seeks an engineer who will be responsible for daily
hardware maintenance of a 9.4T Varian Magnex 21 cm bore and 4T human bore
scanners.
The appointment will be made at a level appropriate to the qualifications,
experience and caliber of the successful candidate. The position requires a
responsible person with a high degree of commitment, enthusiasm and
attention to detail, who keeps abreast of new developments in the hardware
of MR imagers/spectrometers. An engineer will also have opportunities to
explore their own independent scientific interests.
Essential qualifications:
BS, MS, or PhD in Physics, EE, or Biomedical engineering, or relevant field
with demonstrated hands on experience with advanced instrumentation.
Experience with MRI or NMR is desirable. Compensation levels competitive
and commensurate with experience.
