Good afternoon!

The DCIF (Department of Chemistry Instrumentation Lab) at MIT is looking for a home for our 2003-vintage FTMS spectrometer; the complete instrument (or magnet-only) is available immediately for the cost of removal. The instrument and magnet are in good condition and currently fully operational. The descriptions below were written for a general resale audience, but I’d be happy to provide additional technical details if anyone is interested.

Complete system -
We have for immediate sale a complete Bruker Daltonics APEX IV 4.7 Tesla Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometer (FT-ICR-MS). This system is fully functional and includes three ionization sources: 1) electrospray (ESI), 2) electron impact (EI), and 3) direct analysis in real time (DART). It is an excellent system for routine high-resolution mass spectrometric analysis of both large and small molecule systems.

Magnet only -
We have for immediate sale a shielded Magnex 4.7 Tesla wide-bore high resolution magnet system. The magnet bore is 160mm, and is therefore suitable for either high-resolution ICR-MS, or preclinical magnetic resonance imaging applications. The cryogenic system is currently at field, and comes complete with helium and nitrogen monitoring equipment.

Thanks,
Walt
