Job Opening - Assistant NMR Spectroscopist

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is recruiting an NMR Spectroscopist to support the operation of the NMR facility. The facility houses four Bruker instruments ranging from 250 - 600 MHz solution-state NMR systems supporting a large number of synthetic researchers. The NMR Spectroscopist will assist the Director in the maintenance and administrative aspects of the facility including training new users, managing cryogen fills, user scheduling, and providing consultation and collaboration in the area of structure elucidation of small molecules. The candidate should have experience in the operation of Bruker NMR spectrometers including implementation of routine and novel multinuclear NMR, multidimensional NMR, and variable temperature experiments. Preference is given to candidates with excellent skills in computers (Windows & Linux operating systems) and experience with RF electronics. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field is required for this post-doctoral researcher position. Applications including a cover letter, CV, and references must be submitted online.
