Actually, I forbid latex gloves in the NMR room. These protect the
hands of the chemist, but expose others to whatever crap is on the
outside of the gloves. Moreover, they usually have talc, and this and
all the other junk gets transfered to the spinners, keyboard, shim
controls, etc., etc. As a matter of fact, I froze the account of one of
our users because he kept coming into the NMR room with these filthy
things on after being advised not to do so repeatedly.

While we are at it, bringing solvents and preparing samples in the room
is also a no-no...
