I saw this type of thing asked a few years ago, but I only saw one
summary in my search of the archives (from '97).
In the course of preparing to acquire a new instrument (500 MHz), we
seem to be considering JEOL and Bruker. Most of you know all the
questions that come up in comparing these two. Our current workhorse
is a QE-300.
We are very interested in comparisons of the reliability of the
hardware, especially for instruments with a high throughput of
samples.
Also, information on systematic problems, ease of use of the software
(we have our impressions, but are interested in day-to-day users),
quality of phone support, and experiences with service necessities
would be helpful.
I know this comes up from time to time, and folks are probably bored
with answering these types of questions, but any help would be
greatly appreciated.
