AMMRL: AutoX Probe

Dear all,

We have a broadband autotune Varian probe (500 MHz 5mm AutoX DB PFG probe) where the X-tune 1 stick is almost certainly broken. The stick slides out freely but turns sluggishly when pressed back in. Inspection of the belt drive suggests the belt is slightly stretched. I have never had a peek inside an autotune probe, so I am a bit hesitant to take it apart to identify damage part(s) we could fix or replace. As David VanderVelde recently suggested, we might call on JS Research, although we have not ruled out sending the probe to Agilent. Suggestions are welcome.

Thank you,

Truc Chi
