A three-year postdoctoral research associateship is available in the Manchester
NMR Methodology Group (Gareth Morris, Mathias Nilsson and Ralph Adams), funded
by the EPSRC, for the development and application of novel high resolution NMR
techniques for structure elucidation.
Applicants should have:
• A PhD or equivalent in NMR spectroscopy or a related field.
• A strong, proven track record in modern NMR techniques.
and as many as possible of the following:
• Proven skills in computer programming, with experience in as many
as possible of the following areas: Python, Topspin, Mathematica, Matlab, C/C++ and Unix.
• Experience with multidimensional NMR spectroscopy.
• Experience in the development of NMR methods.
• Experience in the maintenance and/or construction of NMR equipment and peripherals.
A wide range of NMR instrumentation is available, from 90 to 700 MHz, including
helium and nitrogen cryoprobes.
