I am currently adding Varian data compatibility to an NMR analysis and
processing package that we are writing. I have a few questions concerning
the format of the acquisition data:
1. The file header suggests that the FIDS can be 16 bit integer, 32 bit integer
or 32 bit floating point. However, I have yet to see an fid that is
anything other than 32 bit simultaneously sampled integer data. Are the
other formats currently in use? I am thinking only of Sun based systems -
I have no plans to support Gemini, V4000 or XL format data.
2. Can anyone supply me with some sample data sets? Preferably small
molecules with interesting spin systems. If other data formats are indeed in
use then a sample of each format would be ideal. Anonymous ftp would be
an ideal way for me to get the data.
