Our most urgent question currently involves possible modification of the
UNIX code so our Varian system and the Deltec brand RST62 UPS might
properly communicate so that an orderly (crash-free) system shutdown
might occur automatically when our building will have power supply
problems. Neither Varian or Deltec can address this question; Bruce
Adams of Varian thought that one of the users or managers in your
discussion groups might have faced this situation.
