Re the intensities observed in the carbon spectra of paramagnetic
complexes. If your spectra are acquired under conditions of continuous
proton decoupling, have you considered the possible effects of the
paramagnetic species on the proton and carbon T1's, and therefore on the
1H-13C NOE? We often assume a full NOE in carbon spectra as a right(!),
but it ain't necessarily soooooo.......
