One thing I wanted to add to Jane Strouse excellent response to this is that,
for spinning, it helps a whole lot if a "T" is placed in the sample eject line
on Bruker spectrometers with a plug on one end which can be removed during
VT operation. This allows the high flow of VT gas an additional pathway to
exit and helps spinning quite a lot. Many thanks to Tim Kelley at Bruker for
originally telling me about this several years ago.
