Charges for outside users

The list has been pretty quiet- the university people must be busy with
finals, and the industry people must be busy with year-end reviews.
Today's topic is: charges for outside users.

This is mostly directed at university facilities- what do you charge
people outside the university to run samples themselves and to have you
run them?

Industry people- what would you (or what do you) pay a university for
such services?

The rates in place here are lower than at my previous posotion. I would
like to raise them, but I would prefer not to pick numbers out of the air.

Responses to me, not the list please. I will combine them and post a
chart, table, something, with all identifying info removed.
