Do any of you have thallium-205 NMR capability for liquids or
solids? It's not commonly found on spectrometers, as Tl-205 and Tl-203
(the less sensitive isotope) have Larmor frequencies between P-31 and F-19.
For thallium NMR, we have only a 7.05T liquids spectrometer with a special
Tl-205 amplifier and probe that we are currently using to do Tl-205 NMR.
Obtaining a Tl-205 spectrum on a solution at a second field
strength would enable unambiguous identification of Tl-Tl scalar couplings,
whether between inequivalent Tl-205 nuclei or between Tl-205 and Tl-203.
We have no solid state capability.
