Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopist:
Princeton University has an immeditate opening for a PhD level magnetic
resonance spectroscopist knowledgeable in e.g. EPR/ENDOR or solid state NMR
or high resolution NMR spectroscopy. The primary duties involve
maintenance of related instrumentation (hardware) and associated
peripherals, including all spectrometer components, workstations,
cyriostats, probes, cavities, rosonators and plotters; special projects in
hardware design, electronic fabrication, training of new users on basic as
well as advanced techniques; scheduling and bookkeeping of multi-user
instrumetns, educating studetns and faculty in new magnetic resonance
methods and instructor for lectures on the theory of instrument operation;
drafting of instrumentation proposals. The spectroscopist will fill one of
two Professional Staff postitions with complementary skills and overlapping
instrument responsibilities in a growing NMR/EPR facilility (5 NMR, 3 EPR/1
