Anyone interested in getting a copy of the hardware list (hlist) should
probably wait a week or so for the entries to stop rolling in. In a
week's time, you can then e-mail me asking for the hlist and I will
gladly make it available at that time. E-mail me over the weekend or
next Monday and, at that time, you will get an updated version of the
hlist. This includes those of you who have already made the request.
This saves me the trouble of sifting through all of the messages already
received for requests. At some point I may set up a file containing the
e-mail addresses of the hlist contributors so that I can send the hlist
out automatically.
I am inclined not to make it available immediately for the above reason
and also to give prior contributors time to make any changes in their
entry to the list known to me. That is, say somebody sent me their
information under the assumption that I was going to only do discreet
referrals and they come back after being out of town a week and find
that their information has been widely circulated. They might not be
too happy. For this reason, I am planning on holding off until next
Monday. I hope this seems reasonable.
So wait until the hlist settles down. It has grown to a size of 33k in
the last two hours and I expect it to be about 40-50k by the weekend.
