If you didn’t do an expinstall after all the changes can you call in a
standard Bruker parameter set and start again from there? Then read in whatever
gradshim1d2h standard set?

I agree—it does sound like the routing is messed up. Can you send a
screenshot of your edasp window with the “show probe wiring”
box checked? 2H should go through the 5W amplifier—the 100W amp
is connected to a BB preamp that has a 2H stop filter.
Cheers,

Well folks,
I’ve seemingly bricked out 2h gradient performance when attempting
to upgrade TS 2.1 to TS 3.6.5 (CentOS / AV III nano). In this case we are
receiving a topshim raw check - no signal at all
In a nutshell:
1. we are able to acquire a 1D 2H (zg2h)
2. we are able to topshim 1h
3. We are able to make a new shimmap
4. 1D 1H and 1D 13C both are OK
5. I can manually shim to lineshape spec
In this case, we installed and ran nmrrestore to bringing out tar file. Then
cf / ii / ii restart to clear any issues. Then checked prosol table and edited
with previous values accordingly.
At first we were not able to get a good shim response (shimming iterated many
times and set to poor values, complained of poor signal:noise, which in retrospect
may have been related a conversion from dB to dBm in prosol). Still, we did not
get a raw check no signal at all error.
We then though (perhaps unwisely) that there was an issue with the shimmap
and performed a ‘topshim initial’.
à at this point we were no longer able to get a 2H response in topshim.
1D 2H is OK, so is 1h gradient shimming.
à seems like the routing is messed up
Routing is as follows:
1H à SGU2 à 60W amp
2H à SGU1 à 100W amp
5W amp is available, but unused.
I have no idea what to do; we reverted to the older computer running TS 2.1,
ran an nmrrestore and went through requisite cf’s; all to no avail.
Any advice out there?
cheerios,
Darcy
