Addendum to my previous email:

After dunking the nut that I made in LN2 for a while (up to 10 minutes) and
hitting it with a hammer (not too hard, but I wasn’t gentle) and bouncing
it off the floor a bunch of times, it seems to do okay at low temperatures.

And the threads on the Oxford caps I have are M19x1, which is a weird size.
  If the threads on yours are about 1mm larger that would be an M20 thread
which is not a weird size. I still think your best bet is going to be
fabricating your own.
