Hello all
To calibrate the tune bridge, we need a 50 ohm and 0 ohm load. 50 ohm BNC connector-type load is easily available. For 0 ohm, someone suggested to simply short the input of the tune bridge with a 18 gauge wire. But I am not sure about this. Is it not true that an unshielded wire loop (or hoop), may have some stray inductive/capacitive impedance? Will a shorted RG-58U cable piece act as a good 0 ohm load? Any thoughts please?

Thank you so much.

rajan
