As a way of introducing myself to this esteemed group, I offer the
following links:

A presentation I recently made to the department:

The site we are developing:

Only the demo one is available off campus. For fun, log in as "hansonr"
with any nonblank password.

An overview of the concepts:

All comments are very welcome! Mostly, I'd love to hear from those of
you either interested in ever doing such a thing (or maybe even
collaborating?) or feel it is absolutely crazy, stupid, waste of time,
done-that-already, etc. I'm presuming that the responses automatically
go to the list, but am setting the reply-to address anyway.

If you'd rather send a message directly to me, that's fine as well, but
it would be great if a discussion thread arises out of this. Current
project status is that the "administrator" and "view spectra" parts are
done. We're using the JCAMP-writing capabilities of XWin-NMR and the
external (command-line) use of autoplot.exe for "on-the-fly" spectra
production. (Yes, we know that the JCAMP-DX files created by XWin-NMR
are corrupt. We'll be correcting for that.) The rest is ready to go once
this thing comes on line, but having had the software only to date,
there are questions still remaining on how to implement the control
aspects. It uses IconNMR as its "team" base, with individual users
oblivious to the spectrometer. The functionality is based on having a
120-position sample changer. We'll see how this goes!
