Merck Frosst, a world-class biopharmaceutical research centre and Canadian
subsidiary of Merck & Co., Inc., has an opening for an NMR spectroscopist.
NMR spectroscopist (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) applicants should have hands-on
experience in the use of a variety of state-of-the-art NMR spectrometers for
solving complex chemical research questions. Applicants with expertise in
small molecule NMR spectroscopy will be considered. The ability to use NMR
for structure elucidation should be demonstrable and a strong foundation in
organic chemistry is required. Experience in trouble shooting and
maintenance of NMR spectrometers is an asset. Ph.D. candidates should have
1-3 years post-doctoral experience, a superior record of accomplishment in
chemical research, as evidenced by a strong publication record.
