Sugestions for Platform Design for Big Magnets...

Hello Everyone:

We are in the preliminary design phases of renovating space to house our
new 800 MHz instrument. We need to design a non-magnetic platform with
stairs, to allow easy access to sample and for magnet service.

I've seen many beautiful pictures of various platform systems at
high-field NMR sites. Since we aren't building this space from scratch,
we have to build some kind of "stand alone" platform that will be
functional and aesthetically pleasing <grin>.

If anyone has done this, and would be willing to provide me with
sketches, pictures, (or even design drawings...yeah!), I would be
extremely appreciative. If you direct your responses back to me, I will
share my findings (only with permission, of course) with the group.

Thanks in advance,

-Rich Shoemaker
