We have two spectrometers with 750 and 600 Mhz with a core to core
distance of 6 meters. The 600 MHz spectrometer quenched spontaneous
two years ago (due to unknown reason, maybe the supraconducting
switch). We observed a field drift of 2000 units at the nearby 750
MHz spectrometer and that was all. Even no shim influence.
After recharging the magnet, we observed the old field values.
Maybe you imagine something wrong behind the word "quench".
This is no quick process. A quench requires 5 ... 15 minutes.
The field goes down slowly during this comparative long time.
