About two months ago, I wrote for you to ask information about
something that was happening here in my Institute. If you remember the
problem was the hight consuption of liquid nitrogen and some ice that
formed in the midle of magnet. (DPX300-Bruker)
We got money to re-energize it again. Now we are discussing
about this re-energize and the possibility to put another magnet near from it.
The questions are:
1) During the re-energize exist the possibility to happen a
quench all right? If it happen what is the possibility to affect my
another machine (DRX500-Bruker) that is energize in the same building? Exist
some possibility that DRX500 quench too, because it will have a hight
magnetic field variation, will not it? The distance between them is about
5 meters.
2) What do you think about to put another two AC200 in the same
floor or to put on second floor. We are discussing about this
possibility, but as in a first question, I do not know if one quench can
to start another quench as a net of quenchs.
