Dear Colleagues,
The Spellman DF4 high voltage power supply for our DNP-NMR instrument has
stopped working. Basically nothing happens when the CB1 breaker is flipped
up and all the lights and displays on the front panel remain dark. The
Control Power ON button does not light up when pressed. With the top cover
of the unit removed, nothing inside seems to indicate the unit has power.
The Gyrotron control software refuses to initialize because it cannot
detect the high voltage from the unit.
Here is the debugging we have tried:
1. Checked the electricity to the unit, no issue
2. Checked the CB1 breaker, no issue
3. Replaced all the 1W lamps for X-Ray ON, OFF, and Control Power ON on the
front panel
4. Checked the failsafe lamps, no issue
5. Checked all the fuses inside the unit, all good
6. Inspected electronic boards inside, did not see anything obviously wrong.
Your inputs for debugging are appreciated.
