Hi All
This is one of those rare instances where I put to good use the
adage 'a picture is worth NNNN words...'. That should give you an idea
of my desperation. Please see attached.
I haven't encountered the 'U' shaped wobb curve before as against the
'V' that is familiar to all of us. If something jumps at you, can you
please share the thought with me ?
Some vital statistics for your consideration :
DRX500 system with a HPPR preamp. This is part of my valiant (and
shortsighted, in hindsight) attempt to merge an existing console with a
retired one which came with a HPPR/2 preamp stack and a really good
magnet with TMC legs.
In short, that didn't go well. I am trying to get back to this console
with its original HPPR configuration and get some decent signal and call
it a day. The receiver gain determined by RGA is rather large for a
water sample i.e. 3000 or so.
I do see notable amount of power reflected back as seen on the BSM
keyboard display of 'mismatch'. I am not sure, at this point, if this
is HPPR related or RX22.
Thank you very much for sparing the time to read and weigh in with your
valuable insights.
Best Regards
Rajan
