Everybody,
In order to avoid reinventing the wheel I figure it is best to place the
question here. We operate our new Avance500 spectrometer (Topspin
3.5pl7 with Sample CASE) currently with individual users logging into
their accounts and running spectra manually or through ICONNMR. We have
ICONNMR set up such that any user can log into an existing queue and
enter and submit samples. I have defined different groups of users with
access to different sets of experiments and different permissions as to
which parameters they are allowed to modify.
What we would like to do is to allow users to submit samples and enter
them into a queue during the day for overnight/weekend runs while the
spectrometer is used in manual mode, i.e. without ICONNMR running on the
spectrometer. I am aware there is the option to import existing queues
from ICONNMR or from spreadsheets, so the question is what is the most
straightforward way to set up a way for people to enter experiments to a
spreadsheet or ICONNMR queue-file at an external computer or through a
web interface while using the information defined in the
$TOPSPIN/conf/instr/spec/inmrusers directory on the spectrometer,
ideally using existing software. like a second copy of topspin running
on a separate workstation.
Thank you very much for any advise.
