Duties: The Manager of the CDDl NMR Core Facility will report to the CDDl Director, will oversee the day-to~day operation of the facility, and will strive to achieve CDDI's mission (www.cddi.usf.edu<http://www.cddi.usf.edu>). To achieve this, the manager will be responsible for user and technician training, assisting in the planning and conduct of research protocols, sample preparation, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting and maintenance of facility equipment, billing and account management and oversight of facility staff.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience): Bachelor's degree with three years of experience running a comparable facility.
Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience): The preferred candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry or related field and three to five years managing a facility involved in the investigation of the structure of large and small biomolecules and/or synthetic libraries. Desirable experience includes analysis of the structure and dynamics of biological macromolecules and their complexes (protein-protein and protein-ligand). Successful candidates should have experience with operation and
maintenance of facility equipment, including hardware and software, pulse sequence programming and automation of NMR data collection.
