*NMR spectroscopist position at Bristol-Myers Squibb*
Bristol-Myers Squibb has an immediate opening in the Discovery
Analytical Department for a full-time NMR spectroscopist (Job Code 6333)
in the Hopewell, New Jersey facility. **
*The position requirements are:*
Preferred candidate should have a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or
related discipline with research experience in NMR or a M.S. with four
or more years of NMR experience in an academic or industrial NMR
facility. The candidate should have experience using modern NMR
spectrometers for multinuclear 1D and 2D NMR data acquisition and
interpretation. Excellent skills on utilization of computer application
software, molecular modeling, data processing and management,
scripts/macros programming and system administration is required. The
excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team
environment are required.
The successful candidate will provide support for drug discovery
programs by applying NMR, LC-NMR-MS and Flow-NMR for purity assessment
and structure characterization of synthetic compounds, metabolites,
degradants and impurities. He/She will participate in high throughput
NMR and other analytical method development initiatives for
combinatorial chemistry library synthesis as well as provide support for
NMR instrument maintenance, upgrade and user training.
