This position is part of the expansion of the investigative toxicology
effort in Safety Assessment. The successful candidate will work with senior
scientists to apply NMRbased metabonomics technologies to the
characterization of mechanisms of toxicity and the identification of
biomarkers to be used to assess preclinical and clinical toxicity issues.
Qualified applicants will hold an MS (3+ years experience) or BS degree (6+
years of experience) in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology or
equivalent. They will have demonstrated skills and experience in
biochemical applications of NMR spectroscopy, including multi-nuclei
multi-dimension chemical structure determination, and data processing.
Experience with sample preparation, automation , HPLC, flow NMR, handling of
biological samples, and computer applications are also desirable.
