This is a 2-year fixed-term research-only position funded by the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), which upon satisfactory performance and if suitable funding can be obtained, may be extended. An extension to the initial two years may involve a modest change in research focus.
The successful applicant will report to Professor William S. Price and will work within the Nanoscale Organisation and Dynamics Group on diffusion imaging of prostate and breast tissue. This position will extend the work coordinated by Dr Roger Bourne and carried out at the Universities of Western Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales, and Queensland.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in magnetic resonance imaging, or closely related area, with a strong emphasis on physics, sequence design, and data analysis, experience in MRI diffusion measurements and /or NMR techniques, strong record of research achievements in magnetic resonance imaging or a closely related field. The appointee will have access to Bruker 11.7 T, 9.4 T, and 16.4 T MRI systems at National Imaging Facility nodes in NSW and QLD.
Remuneration Package: Academic Level A $91,289 to 96,851 p.a. (comprising Salary $77,140 to $81,840 p.a., 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
