I sometimes feel I still have so much to learn about NMR and I am
stumped right now, but I know this group can help me, so here goes my,
perhaps simple, NMR/chemistry-question:
In general, if you have two overlapping multiplets from an aliphatic
ring and one of them exhibits an NOE response to an irradiated, aromatic
proton from elsewhere in the molecule, how do you/we/I find out WHICH
aliphatic signal is giving rise to the NOE response to the aromatic
proton I irradiated? We are often limited, constrained by minimal
sample quantity, and by choice of solvent (we are often dealing with
only milligram(s) of TFA salts).
Any and all suggestions are welcome.
