Hi all,
We recently had an incident with a tube breaking when someone got a large
static shock from the top of the magnet dewar. The floors are the usual
vinyl (?) tiles. Has anyone found a fix for the static problem, preferably
not involving any special behaviors required of users, such as making them
touch something else to discharge before approaching the magnet? We have
one magnet that does it more often than another, and I have never understood
why. In either case it is a relatively rare occurrence, but we¹d like to
avoid it altogether.
