Dear All,

I would like to get your input with regards to repairing the glass fused at
the bottom of the heater of older design Bruker probes (where the heater is
removed to install the probe in the magnet). The part number of the heater
is W1100943.

Once this glass breaks (located at close to the bottom of the heater rod)
VT operation will become unstable. In the glass, there is a black coating
which seems to separates the glass from the (Al?) metal rod of the heater.
What is this black coating material? I guess the glass is quartz?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
Best,
Chris Canlas
