As I mentioned we are conducting a search for an Analytical Chemist. The client is a specialty chemical manufacturer focused on transforming plant-based oils into specialty chemical products. Ideally the candidate would have the following experiences: * PhD degree required, preferably in analytical chemistry; (will consider an MS if candidate has expertise in NMR) * A minimum 5 years analytical role; industry experience preferred * Expertise with NMR. Here is a little bit more detailed information: *Position Expectations: • Responsible for supplying tools and capabilities that improve understanding of new products, process development, operations, and product specifications. • Increasing scientific understanding to set the next direction for R&T innovation. Demonstrates in-depth technical knowledge in the development and implementation of analytical methods. • A proven track record of delivering results. *Roles and Accountabilities: • Assist in lab setup and transfer methods • Understands analytical capabilities available internally and externally. Manages services provided externally. • Support existing product and new product specifications and quality • Support regulatory work • Support toll production and qualification • Ensures compliance with all safety policies and requirements. • Interprets results and applies own judgment to modify sample preparation and analyses. • Organizes work and time to manage multiple project responsibilities, changing priorities, and deadlines. • Maintains instruments and laboratory. • Independently develops and writes test methods and operating, maintenance and safety procedures. • Complies with quality assurance programs and standards. • Implements and troubleshoots instrumentation software. • Responds directly to customers, plants and non R&D personnel regarding a narrow technical area. *Experience and Education Requirements: • PhD degree required, strong preference for analytical chemistry • Require >5 industrial experience, >10 years preferred with experience in analytical role.
